Momma Z and Dave

Sunday evening. Time to pack up, clean up and head home.
We always try to leave the site cleaner than we found it.

Don't be sad Doug, we'll come again.

If you love the outdoors, the National Forests of Texas can provide a great place for a variety of activities. "Rough it" like we do, or haul your camper out and park it in a developed campground with restrooms and showers. Sit in your lawn chair beside the water, listening to the wind in the pines, and watch the grass grow. Strap on a backpack and hike the Lone Star Trail for a couple of weeks. Immerse yourself in an illusion of freedom in the solitude of wilderness areas. Enjoy bird watching or fishing, or if you hunt, wander through thousands of acres of pine forest and hardwood bottoms in search of game. Climb on your bicycle or saddle up your horse and spend the day exploring closed off forest roads. There are even developed trails with parking and restrooms for off-road motorcycles and four wheelers.
For information on these and other activities, check out the Forest Service web site .
